Organization at a glance

Bandhab Pratibondhi Sangastha is an Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) working in Khulna district of Bangladesh. The journey of this organization started from 2008. When the persons with disabilities were neglected in the society and even neglected in the family, when they were looking for a way out, with the help of ADD, the neglected group was organized together.

Persons with disabilities organize and form organizations at the village level to meet their basic needs. As a result of the multifaceted activities of the organization, they are gaining social status by becoming self-reliant. To change the social outlook, they are working through various activities including local assembly, school meeting, party meeting seminar, village support committee, song-drama and cultural programs. The organization is working to integrate the persons with disabilities at every level of the society with a view to strengthening the initiative of the members of grassroots disabled organizations and ensuring their participation in state and social development work.
